About this painting: This new, contemporary work was created by speckling thousands of paint specks on the board. I use a stiff bristle brush and manually sprinkle various colors to achieve effects and new color combination. Much like the CMYK of a printing press, I combine primary colors to create secondary colors. Since the surface is slightly raised with each color speck, the painting tends to change as a person views it from different angles. I call the technique "Specklism." Photographs cannot do justice to the unique texture and vitality of this technique, I guarantee once you see the painting in real life, you will be astounded with the impact it makes.
