Original oil painting – 28” w x 22" ht.
This is the second in a series; I am exploring the natural composition found in small sections of birds, such as this Wood Duck. The paint style is figurative abstract using thick impasto oil applied via paint knife to show the brilliant colors found on the side of a Wood Duck's beautiful head. I see these secretive ducks along the creek bottom of my favorite birding trail.
Title: Wood Duck – reflections 2.
Painted on 1.5" depth canvas, the edge is painted black and suitable for hanging with or without framing. Ships in flat container.
Note: although this painting is for sale, I will not be able to ship until March 22nd due to wet paint. The media is water mixable oil and needs a good month to dry, especially with its thick impasto layers.
